About Hannah

Hannah Smith is a contemporary intuitive painter based in Lancashire, England. Working primarily in acrylic, her practice explores movement, colour, and embodied presence as lived experience expressed through form.

Her work is grounded in direct encounter rather than narrative, allowing each painting to hold its own coherence and authority. Across abstraction, landscape, animal presence, and figurative works, the focus remains on presence — what is felt, held, and allowed to emerge.

Influenced by the natural world and years living beside the ocean, her paintings carry the rhythms of water, land, and light. These elements appear not as subjects to be depicted, but as qualities that shape the work from within.

Hannah works from her studio creating original paintings and fine art prints. Selected commissions are considered when aligned with her current practice.​
